this change forces the read receipt to 'yes' for all pm's and gets rid of the annoying popup question if you have message tracking turned on.

:)

I was looking for an option to turn it off. This is better for now. Thanks.

A checkbox would be better, but yes...anything is better than that forsaken popup.

There have been quite some complaints about the popups on vbulletin.com, hopefully the dev team finds a solution for rc1 which resolves those popups.

It's working when i send a PM (the popup doesn't show)... BUT, after I sent myself the test PM and after reading several others' PMs... the popup would show up after reading & asking me to confirm. :/

that's because you have the other setting set to 'yes'... the "Can Deny Private Message Read Receipt Request" option. If you want to be able to deny read receipts, you'll have to put up with that popup. If you don't care about being able to deny read receipts, change that setting to 'no'.

??? Where can you set this to 'no'?

usergroup manager / edit usergroups

3/4 way down: 'Private message permissions'

You have to change it for every usergroup.
