Yeah, I'm not trying to pressure anyone. I'm just working at it with my own pace, and I have a live test site people can browse, or they can let me know if they want a newer package to test on their own server.

Neeto 5th January 2006, 03:17 AM Yeah, I'm not trying to pressure anyone. I'm just working at it with my own pace, and I have a live test site people can browse, or they can let me know if they want a newer package to test on their own server. Neeto 8th January 2006, 07:19 AM Well, I have been chugging away at the style, and so far I am really happy with the results. A HUGE chunk of the graphics are finished (SMILIES (http://www.neeto.org/misc.php?do=showsmilies)), and the feel is still funky and retro I think. But I have run into a problem. With my minimalist approach to design, I was not looking ahead to enable site links. While there is no way there will be multiple rows of strange links across the top of the site, I should consider the simple fact that most people (including myself, actually) do not run a vanilla forum with no addons, and at the very least, could very likely have a site or portal that is an extension of the forums, or visa versa. I'm open to suggestions! Robert 8th January 2006, 07:41 AM I will have a think about the site links. For now I think you should have a quick look at your footer. On my screen the site credit image is a little cut off. See attached. I am running FireFox 1.5 on OS 10.4.3 Neeto 8th January 2006, 07:59 AM Thanks, Robert. I'll check it out and get testing with the Fox again. :) Neeto 8th January 2006, 08:22 AM Well, I had an older version of firefox, that I suppose was more lenient. At any rate, I fixed it up good like. Thanks! Robert 8th January 2006, 08:40 AM Well, I had an older version of firefox, that I suppose was more lenient. At any rate, I fixed it up good like. Thanks! So I see. Great work. The style looks very cool. Just a couple of small niggles, but otherwise a brilliant effort. :D Disjunto 8th January 2006, 10:10 AM looking very nice neeto :D Neeto 10th January 2006, 06:17 AM Well, I have been chugging away at the style, and so far I am really happy with the results. I'm open to suggestions! Well, Site Links are now present in the style. I will include in the style a few extra buttons, and an explanation of how to use them. :) Right now, it will easily fit 3 buttons, for example "Portal Forums Gallery". It can be modified to fit more however. Also, I have finished the vast majority of the graphics as well as templates. I will finish the editor and the other various graphics tentatively this week, and we should have a release. Thanks, Disjunto and Robert, both of you for your suggestions, and your interest in the design. Both of you have been a great help in stomping out little bugs. Robert 10th January 2006, 06:24 AM A pleasure. Always happy to help someone who is helping the community. Plus, it means I will have another cool style at my finger tips. :) |
