Why basic?
Because this is an add-on for the 'category in a box' mod.
It only deals with forumhome, but by many request: here it is!

I installed this, and love it. But how do I change the text above the banners? It shows "Last Post", but on vbulletin.nl it shows Banner?

I suggest reading the installation file again. It clearly states to remember the forumid and set it in the if conditional.

ok.. here's a trick question that I havent quite been able to figure out the code for.

how do i get rid of the banner part of it and just leave the link part of it without messing up the table?

Apply the same trick I used as for the other 2 columns that don't show up :)

Hello,

I think your site is very good and helps!

Donīt laugh about my english, cause Iīm to old, so I never laerned it befor.

So my question: Is there anybody who translate me some installs (how to do it) in german?

Some of this thinks looks interested, so I want to have it. I hope you understand the thinks I write here.

Sorry, my english is very bad.

Hi there, NO I am sorry.
Nobody has permission to translate this hack.

None of my work can be translated to any other language. Because nobody has the permission to distribute the files.

Thanks Floris for sharing :)
I started to install, but I realized the links are added to the Forum Link and I had intended to be able to insert html

I'm confused, and I'm not a moron. I've clearly re-read your directions several times which seem a little lacking in some degree. And yes, I've added the forumid.

Nothing really happens however to change. My forums appear just as usual. No banner, just a forum discription with a link and then the empty colums.

Followed the directions to the teeth and yes, I have both hacks installed, still going over the directions now. I've reverted twice to re-attempt this now.

I was thinking about it and I thought it was odd, but here is the problem. I read to literal and didn't go with my first instinct.

In your directions for creating the link you have it listed as "Parent Forum : None"

However when I changed it's parent to my Links forum, bingo works fine and dandy no issues. Just thought I'd point that out.

Maybe a slight oversight.

I have the idea to create this for use in individual forums, kinda as an adveristing tool. Shouldn't be to difficult, just the right conditionals

Hello floris,

I believe I am close to solving this trick. Would it be alright to send you the finished steps I took to create link banners in sub-forums so that you can include it with this HOW-TO?

Anyway to use the target="_blank" so it opens up a new window?

Pennylessz28

The code has that in it, read it again.
