Folks-

This started out as an experiment in relying on css positioning rather than tables for layout. So far, I have only modified the postbit template.

I rather like the layout, but am interested in feedback--whataya all think?

Yes, I agree... it looks very old-schoolish with the black and white and minimal images... I rather like that look... good job!

It is a bit inclear to me if the buttons are from the post above, or the post below. .. I know how vb works and that they're listed below the post, but still. Not everybody can take that guess. Try to make it a bit more obvious :)

I really like the simplicity that the style gives, just like google/gmail does it and I like that :)

Too much white for my taste. Though I like it because its simple, and clean, it needs a bit of polish to make it stand out.

It is a bit inclear to me if the buttons are from the post above, or the post below. .. Maybe I should strengthen the bottom border of the post by making it darker (it is already thicker).

it looks very old-schoolish That's 'cause I'm an old guy!

The core group of my forum is old by internet standards (I'd venture the average age of our regulars is mid-50s, with participation in on-line communities averaging around 15 years).
