I'm workngi with as phpBB board right now and al lthe styles (Or most) for it are free. I have found a couple of extremely sweet styles and have wanted to take some of the things they doing anbd apply it to my vbulletin. These are things I have seen on other vbulkletins but have jsut never took the iniitive to try and do it but my fellow vb admin have seen how awesoem the phpbb board looks (And compared to my vbulletin styles they do..but alll the phpBB styles I got were very awesome.)and are wanting to know why ours can't be dynamic like that. So here are my questions:

Here (http://oklahomacommunity.supportcore.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=1) - This is the view of a forum. See how it has the image liek things at the top and bottom to make it look smooth. What code would I apply and where on my forums would I apply it?

Here (http://oklahomacommunity.supportcore.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4) - Thisi s a post. I want ot add images to the top and bottom of each post as well.

And finally the nav bar. I'd like to get rid of my current navbar and put up something similiar to the one on my phpBB board or imbed the buttons in the banner. Sort of like you click specific parts of the banner.

If you could help me with at least one of those I'd be very grateful or if you could point me to some similiar tempalte mods at vbt.com I'd be very glad. I would apply thise to the free styles I have out now and share them with the public.

But if you don't feel liek helping me I understand. :p

EDIT:: Also I might have said something that vcan be done without template modification. If so just tell me and I'll figure it out on my own.

Hey truthelixir... for the category images, might I reccomend viewing this thread to help you: http://www.vbulletintemplates.com/mods/showthread.php?t=6003

Use that same code to apply it to the postbit and any other areas you want to. It shouldn't be too hard to do so.

As for the navbar, that'll require a lot of template edits. What you could do is completely lose the text and add a table with the images there. You can have the header be a color, say black, and right beneath it will be the navbar, which you can also have be a color, say blue. Make sure the header and navbar tables are both 100% so they stretch the width of the page. There's really no "tutorial" I can point you to but hopefully the above can give you a start.

I do have the category thing installed and tried adding it other things but never really did anything because I didn't know if it would work or not. Thanks and I'll try it. I'm gonig to attemopt the whole navbar thing later.

BTW, you don't have to refer to me as truyhelixir...sounds kinda odd. :p

I figured you'd want your real name kept private until you wanted to "publicly" tell people :p
