Folks-

I see many questions about how to take information from a vB site, and display it on another page. I see many sites that have a non-vB homepage. To me, this makes sense if your forum is only one part of a larger site. But what if the forum is the whole site, or the primary reason for the site--does it still make sense?

Can forumhome be made more "homey"? Does a visitor to your forumhome page get a good sense of what your forum is about? Can they find something that interests them? Do they feel welcome? Can they figure out in which forum they should post their question?

What have you done to your forumhome page to accomplish this?

Normally no, it's very hard to accomplish this. You could always try and make a " cover page" for the forum like the page that is displayed when a user has to register when first coming to a forum. As far as ease of interests and use. That varies on how well the categories are placed out as well as the descriptions placed below.
