Anybody have any ideas on how to create a nice banner for this web site?
Example or something?

the one you have at the moment floris personnal from experiance is no good (not meant nasty) but it needs to stand out and say to the viewer mmmmmmmmmmm click so colors are good also flash is good see in my banner which is old it goes through what we are rouchly about i think thats what you need todo

flashing stuff just annoys me

you can make these colours work in a banner, i have done before

mine was made when i had vb 2.x.x quite some time ago and was featured around the good ol logi skin :)

yours only stands out more because of flashyness and the amount of graphics used :)

no but your impression more graphical :) so which one stuck out more? which is what you have todo to target clicks ;)

the plain less graphical one would give people a more professional impression
whereas the other would make people see it.

if i was say looking for a professional hosting company i would see the more graphical one first yet i'm personally more likely to click the clean one as it looks more professional :)

Actually, the vbulletin banner isn't that bad at all.
