Hi to everyone here...

Just had an auto reminder email mentioning I should post - apologies for not being very active on here up to now. Well, I am a member over at vb.com and a few other vb boards and at the moment I am getting very excited.

I have recently commissioned a company to develop a totally unique theme/style for my www site which is currently running under phpBB. After a few months of being either too busy, on holidays, or just too darned nervous to do the application move... I have last week made an announcement on my forums stating I intend to do the migration to the new look tMP on vB this coming Wednesday. So... I am now committed to doing so. and there's no way back... hehe.

So, I hope some of you will have a sneek peek later in the week at my nice new look (assuming all goes smoothly during the move).

My forum is a brass/musicians discussion forum which is fairly popular, but because of the limitations of the software I currently use, has now run its course using phpBB. We identified several months ago that a far more powerful server and application would be needed if I were to keep looking to the future and building on what has become a very popular site indeed (relatively speaking). I have around 2,700 members and over 100,000 posts and quite honestly can't belive how busy my site has become in 18 months, though I will admit to really enjoying that fact.

I live in a small town in South Wales called Newport, am married with 2 kids and work as a professional Project Manager which very often brings me to Holland.

Good luck with whatever you are all doing... keep safe and well...

.. you are very welcome Floris. I have read many of your excellent replies over on vb.com and it's a pleasure to meet you and join up on your site. I will spend a while reading through the posts here trying to get more familiar with vB as I get closer to moving my www site across on Wednesday evening. (am getting very nervous about it...!)

Fairly? The guy's too modest - tMP is THE brass banders forum, (we don't just talk about flat caps and whippets!!) and deserves every success. Thanks John for all your hard work, and to vbulletin.

OK mollymoo, I guess the boot is on the other foot now then eh! and from your username (which if you read this Floris is not the same as that on tMP) I have no idea who you are... :) but does I guess say something about the wonderful community that is theMouthPiece.com...

However, that sure is a nice thing to say... thanks...:)
