I got bored, so I installed vB3 Gamma on my site (test board :p ) and decided to start work on creating a "Thread Starter" column...

Yeah everytime i look at it, i think it's a bug and it's going to be a topic description in RC1. Like IPB.

This is posted in the template forum, but I am sure you have to modify source code to get the options in the admin control panel?

Also, since nothing has been released, I am moving this to the chit chat forum, so it can be discussed. Otherwise this thread will just get filled with requests to release it. We don't allow commercial hacks, unless I have been contacted prior to posting. Just so you know.

No source code needs to be edited (unless you count turning DEBUG mode ON then OFF as a source code edit)...

I will be releasing very shortly, after I write it up :)

The Thread Starter Column template mod has been released!

Please remember to save any edits in your templates other than this one, as reverting the template (assuming something goes wrong) will delete any previous modifications, and reset the template back to its GAMMA state...

The screenshots have been zipped up, along with the template editing instructions :)

Some people may consider this a hack, as you have to enable DEBUG mode (by editing includes/config.php), but as this really only is enabling a specific mode pre-built in to vB3 and all other vB versions, I do not consider this hacking...

However - If you (the staff) believe it is, please move it to the "Source Code Modifications" board...

Hmmm, it gave me the extra column w/ thread starter, but it did not remove the thread starter from below the thread title. What did I miss?
