My first big vB3 mod. Please be gentle. I might have overlooked something...

I posted this in template modifications, but if you want the famous "since your last visit" part to work, you must add 2 lines to your index.php.

Hack Complexity:
1 Modified Template
6 New Phrases
1 PHP Edit
1 Image
No Hardcoded Text

I will admit I have not done much to improve the layout of this box for Guests.

Registered members who have no Avatar see an empty box on the left side that is maxavatarwidth + 20 wide. Displaying a "No Avatar" graphic would be another code hack. For best results, remove img { vertical-align } from CSS settings.

If you mean the User name, avatar, etc. on the left side, the solution is in vBulletin Options under AdminCP.

Very nice, I am not sure I will use a welcome panel 'yet' since that is basicaly what nav bar is in a way.

I will have to toy with it see what I come up with....... thanks for the code :)

By the way, your forum is suffering the "if user is guest, then redirect to profile.php" bug. Fix is at vB.com.

I agree great mod!

I still have the problem of members avatars not showing up. When it is a guest, then there is not a problem, the guest avatar shows up fine. The members avatar does not show up though. Any ideas?

No, I am talking about in the Phrase Manager, you need to add those 6 new phrases under the GLOBAL group of phrases.
